Story
We are a group of students who attended a Basic Course in American Sign Language given at Suncoast Community College Adult & Community Enrichment Classes Starting in January 2017. After the course was over, a number of us reasoned that what we had learned was "use it or loose it" information. We decided to meet weekly to practice and share information about good learning tools and websites.
We initially just met for dinner once a week & then found a great church in Bradenton who has a deaf ministry that teaches ASL for FREE!! So..... we attend ASL Class & then go to dinner for more practice. See the "Events "page for more information. |
Overview
The purpose of this site is to facilitate the learning and practice of American Sign Language. Also to provide ongoing communication between our "members". We currently have several persons attending who were not members of our original class, we would not be adverse to having others, with a basic knowledge of ASL, attend as long as they share our goals. For more information, Call Vic & 941-302-3626
If you just want to practice ASL on your own, see the "Links" page, which gets updated from time to time, for video dictionaries and instructional videos. Please email Vic at ASL@vjrohe.com should you wish to suggest URLs of videos you think should be included. |
